Library fines forgiven for food donation

GIRARD

Rose Ann Lubert, director of Girard Free Library, 105 E. Prospect St., announced that the library is conducting a “Food for Fines” project through May 14.

For a donation of at least two nonperishable food items, any fines up to $25 will be waived.

The donations will benefit Warren Family Mission. Lubert said the library has had previous such collections for Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley and Emmanuel Community Center.
