Girl Scouting’s free event promises one to glow on
YOUNGSTOWN
Anyone who is interested in Girl Scouting is invited to a free event for the whole family (boys, too) from 4 to 8 p.m. April 30 at Stambaugh Stadium, on the campus of Youngstown State University, One University Plaza.
Participants in the program, You Glow Girl, will play glow-in-the-dark games, make glow-in-the-dark crafts, meet the Youngstown State University Women’s Basketball Team, get a glow-in-the-dark tattoo and discover all things that glow — even live scorpions.
Girl Scouts of North East Ohio is sponsoring the event. A DJ will spin some tunes, and an enormous game of Twister is sure to evoke laughter.
If you are already a Girl Scout, take a friend who’s not a member. When she is registered, you’ll both get a patch.
Those who register by April 23 will get free glow-in-the-dark goodies. To register, email to LMartinez@gsneo.org the children’s names, ages, school, and the parent/guardian phone number and address. Children must be under adult supervision at all times.
