Food for Fines

Rose Ann Lubert, director of Girard Free Library, 105 E. Prospect St., announced that the library is conducting a “Food for Fines” project through May 14.
For a donation of at least two nonperishable food items, any fines up to $25 will be waived.
The donations will benefit the Warren Family Mission. Lubert said the library has had previous such collections for Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley and Emmanuel Community Center.
Camp Discover
WARREN
YWCA Warren’s summer enrichment program, Camp Discover, will be offered weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from June 13 through Aug. 26 for children in kindergarten through fifth grade.
Each week, the children will explore a different career path and hear from speakers about their experiences in that field.
Trips are planned to the Children’s Center for Science and Technology, Vienna Short Holes and daily walking trips to the Urban Garden and Perkins Park.
Cost for the camp is $85 per week per child. For more information, call 330-373-1010.
