Easter egg hunts
A list of Easter egg hunts and other events as submitted to The Vindicator:
MAHONING COUNTY
Canfield: Canfield Presbyterian Church, 140 W. Main St., egg hunt, 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday for children 3 through fourth grade. Hunt for eggs, do crafts, pictures taken with real rabbits, all free. Supper at 6:30 p.m. Donations accepted. 330-533-5509.
Austintown: Quaker Steak and Lube, dinner with the Easter Bunny, 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Austintown: Dairy Queen, 145 Canfield-Niles Road, 11 a.m. to
2 p.m. Saturday. Visit the Easter bunny, live bunny display. Bring your camera. Free candy-filled eggs; color eggs the DQ way.
Austintown: Country Inn & Suites, 5570 Interstate Blvd., Easter egg hunt 2 p.m. Saturday for birth to 11 years old. Refreshments, snacks and prizes.
Boardman: Bridge of Hope, 7580 Glenwood Ave., indoor egg hunt Saturday for ages two to fourth grade. Registration and games begin at 11:30 a.m., giveaways at 12:30 p.m. and hunt begins at 1 p.m. Easter grass room for those with asthma.
Campbell: Roosevelt Park, 1 p.m. Saturday, ages 2 to 10. Sponsored by East Suburban Optimist Club of Youngstown. Easter Bunny will make a special appearance. This event is for residents of Lincoln Knolls, Campbell, Coitsville and Lowellville.
Lowellville: High Pointe Church, 5716 Struthers Road, 11 a.m. Saturday. Egg hunt for preschool through sixth grade.
Youngstown: Easter Egg Hunt, Community Fellowship Church Of God, 4125 Lanterman Road, noon to 2 p.m. Saturday for ages 3 to 12. Rain date, April 23.
Youngstown: VFW Post 6488, 2065 Coitsville-Hubbard Road, will have a luncheon and egg hunt at 12:30 p.m. April 22. Lunch from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and hunt from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. for ages 2 through 12. Bring containers.
Boardman: Glenwood Christian Fellowship, 7872 Glenwood Ave., across from Boardman High School, will have an “Eggstraordinary Hunt” with registration at noon April 23. Age 1 through 12 are invited. No reservations needed but participants should be accompanied by an adult. Every child will receive a bagful of special prizes and extra tickets for an auction. Each family will receive giveaway items and will qualify to win other prizes and gift cards made possible by monetary donations from area business sponsors. Sponsors are Bill’s Lawn Care & Landscaping, Boardman Printing, Bob & Chuck Eddy Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep, Home Carpet, Scarves Galore & Mmore, and TransAmerican Auto Parts.
Canfield: Dairy Queen, 101 S. Broad St., egg hunt on The Green, 11:30 a.m. April 23 for children through age 10. Hunt is planned rain or shine with prizes, candy and eggs.
Youngstown: Dairy Queen, 3555 S. Meridian Road, 11 a.m to 2 p.m. April 23. Visit the Easter Bunny, and there will be a live bunny display. Bring your camera. Free candy-filled eggs; color eggs the DQ way.
Boardman: Easter egg and goodie-bag hunt April 23 at Master’s Pavilion and the baseball field, Boardman Park for children 8 and under. Bring your own baskets. Dress for the weather. Age 3 through 4, 10 a.m., and age 2 and under, 10:15 a.m. both at Master’s Pavilion; for age 5 through 8, 10:30 a.m. at the baseball field. Free admission.
TRUMBULL COUNTY
Howland: Home Savings will host a egg hunt from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at its Howland office, 4625 N. River Road. The bank will provide prizes and refreshments.
Hubbard: The Easter Bunny will visit Tylee Park in downtown Hubbard, 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 p.m. April 17. The bunny will have treats for all the children who visit. The event is sponsored by the Tylee Park Restoration Committee and the Hubbard Historical Society.
Mineral Ridge: Briarfield at the Ridge, 3379 Main St., will sponsor a community egg hunt from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. It will be hosted by the Easter Bunny and Sara Warner & Friends Country Band will perform from 2 to 3 p.m. There will also be clowns, face painting and more.
Girard: Girard Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring an Easter egg hunt at Girard City Gym, 100 W. Main St., at 2 p.m. April 23 for ages three through nine years old who are resident of Girard.
COLUMBIANA COUNTY
East Palestine: The East Palestine Rotary Club will have its annual all-you-can-eat breakfast with the Easter Bunny featuring pancakes and sausage from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Community Center at the City Park for all ages. Cost is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children. Matted pictures with the Easter Bunny will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and will cost $8 each.
East Palestine: Annual egg hunt, City Park, 11:30 a.m. Saturday, in four age groups: preschool, kindergarten and first grade, second and third grade and fourth and fifth grade.
MERCER COUNTY
Sharon, Pa.: Tully’s at Quaker Steak & Lube, dinner with the Easter Bunny, 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Hermitage: Shenango Valley egg hunt at noon Saturday, rain or shine, for age 1 through 12. Children should arrive early.
Special prizes for each age group. Free. The Easter Bunny will be there. Sponsored by
Daffin’s Candies and Penn State Shenango’s Criminal Justice Club.
