Administrative professionals to host Recognition Dinner

Yo-Mah-O Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals will host an annual Administrative Professionals Day Recognition Dinner April 27 at The Lake Club in Poland.
The featured speaker will be Roxann Sebest, video journalist for WKBN/WYTV Television, and Denise Altman, the chapter’s Member of the Year, will be singled out for recognition.
“Passion and Purpose” will be the theme for the event, which will begin with a cocktail hour at 5:30 p.m., followed by, at 6, a dinner of turkey croissant with pasta salad and soup or a grilled chicken Caesar salad and soup.
The dinner will cost $15. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 330-652-1784 weekdays or by emailing csimone@melmor.com by April 18.
The chapter, which was chartered in 1946 and has 58 members, has been awarding scholarships since 1950. The first scholarship was $200. Since 2000 the chapter has awarded more than $30,000 in scholarships.
The chapter supports such community projects as Relay for Life, St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen, Second Harvest Food Bank, Beatitude House and Akron Children’s Hospital Boardman Campus.
