Kumler Chapel on the campus of Miami University was the setting at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 25, as Whitney M. Truthan and Jonathan P. Poma exchanged nuptial vows.
David Kohout officiated at the ceremony for the daughter of Lawrence and Kristina Truthan of Hilliard and the son of Kimberly Poma of Boardman and the late James Poma.
The couple accepted congratulations during a reception at the Oxford Community Arts Center before leaving on a wedding trip to St. Lucia. They live at the Victorian Village in Columbus.
The bride’s lace trumpet-style gown featured a V-neckline and a rhinestone sash.
Vintage rose gowns with champagne sashes were worn by Michelle Montagna, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Ivy Poma, the groom’s sister; Barbara Scordia; Kristen Sayre; Alex Graves; Rachael Reed; Jessica Forsythe; Emily Lukasik; and Cassie Selm.
Joshua Congelio was best man, and groomsmen were Benjamin Truthan, the bride’s brother; Mark Desalvo, the groom’s cousin; Ron Brown; Mark Brown; Andrew Good; Andrew Golubic; Danny Stull; Dan Klimas; Joel Monaco; and Brett Charville. Ushers were Marc Sikora and Anthony Musolino.
Mrs. Poma graduated from Miami University with a degree in marketing. She is a social media analyst with GSW Worldwide in Columbus.
Mr. Poma, a digital strategist with DynamIt Technologies in Columbus, earned a degree in business from Miami University.
