Walk MS at Canfield Fairgrounds April 30

Walk MS Mahoning Valley, presented by Giant Eagle and EMD Serono/Pfizer, will be April 30 at Canfield Fairgrounds.

Check-in will begin at 8 a.m.

Walk MS will raise funds and celebrate hope for a future free of MS. Individuals and teams walk together to make a statement and to keep moving toward a cure for the chronic, unpredictable disease of the central nervous system affecting more than 20,000 Ohioans.

Walk MS is a fundraising event with the average walker raising $225. Funds from the event provide for local programs and support 22 research projects being conducted in Ohio.

“We are asking for the community’s support with Walk MS,” said Janet Kramer, president of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Ohio Buckeye Chapter. “All the proceeds from the event provide direct support for people living with multiple sclerosis and funds MS-related research to find a cause and cure for the disease.”

Walk MS will also be April 30 in Akron (The University of Akron), Massillon (Massillon Recreation Center), Mentor (Mentor High School) and North Canton (Price Park).
