Trumbull Fair Board seeking Purple Heart recipients

The Trumbull County Fair Board would like to honor all Trumbull County residents who have been awarded the Purple Heart for their service in the military.

During a ceremony July 4 at the fair, veterans with a Purple Heart will be honored.

Quilters and crafters from the county are creating quilts, afghans and throws to be presented to the veterans.

Due to privacy laws, it is difficult to learn the names of county residents with a Purple Heart, so the fair board asks that all veterans who were awarded one to notify the fair board by calling 330-889-2181.
