Syndicated columnist John Rosemond will conduct a parenting-education seminar from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. today in the auditorium of Boardman High School, 7777 Glenwood Ave. Rosemond will sign books from noon to 1 p.m. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and tickets cost $20.
Pandering charges

After a nonjury trial Friday morning, a judge has taken under advisement the case of an Austintown man charged with seven counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, 16 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor and eight counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material.
Judge Maureen A. Sweeney of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court will rule at a later date in the case of Terrence R. Justice, 51, of North Roanoke Avenue, who is charged with possessing material depicting minors in sexually oriented activity.
Detective Sgt. Kathy Dina of the Austintown Police Department said the photographs show several juvenile females. None of the children shown is believed to live locally, and Justice isn’t suspected of engaging in sexual activity with minors.
Home invaded

Three masked burglars, one of them brandishing a handgun, invaded a home in the 1800 block of Lans-downe Boulevard, a 17-year-old girl told police.
The girl said she saw a car slow down and make a U-turn in front of her home as she was taking out the trash at 7:50 p.m. Thursday. Twenty minutes later, she said, she was changing her infant in the crib in a front bedroom when she heard a loud crash as the invaders kicked in the rear door. One of the intruders held a handgun to her head while the others took her flat-screen TV and digital camera and her mother’s gold jewelry, the girl reported.
Bicentennial book
NORTH LIMA
Beaver Township 200th Anniversary Committee is accepting applications from individuals and families who want to be included on the patron page of the township’s bicentennial book. The cost is $5. The committee is looking for businesses, groups, civic organizations and churches to participate in a bicentennial service July 30 at Memorial Park at the intersection of state Routes 164 and 165.
The groups may set up free informational displays from 1 to 7:30 p.m. July 30, said Scott Conway, township park administrator. The deadline to reserve a space is April 30. For more information, visit http://beavertwpparks.webs.com or call 330-549-9552.
Candidates forum
WARREN
The A. Philip Randolph Institute and League of Women Voters of Trumbull County is co-sponsoring a forum featuring the two candidates for Warren mayor, Doug Franklin and Jim Graham. It will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 19 at Warren G. Harding High School, 860 Elm Road NE. A media panel will pose questions to the candidates as well as questions submitted from members of the audience. Moderator will be Peggy Sinkovich from WYTV-33. Panel members are Bertram de Souza, Editorial Writer/Columnist for The Vindicator; Guy Coviello, managing editor for The Tribune Chronicle; and Dr. John Robertson, community member.
Cemetery cleanup

Cleanup at all township cemeteries has begun. People are to remove any mementos from around headstones. Items not attached to headstones must be removed before April 18. Anything left will be removed.
