Mahoning Valley car dealers report improved car sales over March 2010

YOUNGSTOWN — Mahoning Valley car dealerships saw a 53-percent increase in March new-car sales compared with sales during the same month a year ago.

Dealers sold 2,810 new vehicles last month compared with 1,833 in March 2010, according to numbers released Friday from the Auto Dealers Association of Eastern Ohio.

Greenwood Chevrolet tops the list with 286 new cars sold, according to the association.
