Basista-Komara wedding plans are revealed

Rebecca L. Basista of Lowellville and Robert S.M. Komara of Canfield are engaged to be married, their parents are announcing.

She is the daughter of Larry Basista of Lowellville and Victoria Hill of Pulaski, Pa., and he is the son of Bob and Marlene Komara of Canfield.

Aug. 19 is the date the couple have selected for their 2 p.m. open wedding at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown. Invited guests will join them for a reception at Stambaugh Auditorium.

The bride-elect is employed as a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center. She graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

The prospective groom is manager and third generation owner of Komara Jewelers in Canfield. He graduated from the Gemological Institute of America with a degree in diamonds, jewelry repair and design.
