6th suspect surrenders in Milton Township kidnapping attack
LAKE MILTON
The sixth person believed involved in the kidnapping and robbery of a Beloit man Sunday surrendered to Milton Township police around 3 p.m. Thursday.
The suspect, David Devellin, 24, of Canfield, accompanied by his attorney, Holly Hanni, was charged with robbery, kidnapping, felony theft and intimidation for threatening to murder the victim as the six fled the scene, said Lt. Jeffrey J. Lewis.
Police U.S. Marshals had searched for Devellin in several places, including his residence.
The hunt for the six began after the victim showed up naked at a township home around 6:40 p.m. Sunday looking for help. He told police he was taken by the group from the Austintown Walmart to Eciks Cemetery in the township, where they beat, kicked, stripped and robbed him of $1,000.
The other five suspects, four men and a woman, are charged with kidnapping, robbery and felony theft.
