Memorial service for victim found along Ohio highway
CLEVELAND (AP) — Dozens of people have joined an anniversary memorial service in Ohio for a woman whose body was mistaken by police for a deer carcass on the highway.
Police say 28-year-old Angel Bradley-Crockett was strangled before her body was dumped along Interstate 90 in Cleveland early last April.
An ex-convict has been charged with murdering her, and his girlfriend has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter. Police think the slaying grew out of an argument after a minor traffic accident.
According to WJW-TV, the victim’s father, Charlie Williams, told those at the memorial service that his daughter had a smile everyone loved.
