Impromptu memorial service today for Campbell teacher

Richard Gozur, principal at Campbell Memorial High School, said students had an impromptu memorial service Wednesday for teacher Michael “Mickey” Soroka, 49, who died Tuesday morning.

Gozur said once the school learns of arrangements by Soroka’s family, another service may be planned.

Soroka collapsed shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday as he supervised students giving morning announcements.
