Warren G. Harding team takes top spot in regional robotics competition


WARREN — The Warren G. Harding robotics team, “Team 48 Delphi ELITE,” won first place in the Smoky Mountain regional robotics competition in Knoxville, Tenn., over the weekend, meaning it has qualified for the FIRST Championship in St. Louis, April 27-30.

Team 48 finished with an 8-2-0 record and the No. 3 seed out of 50 teams. Team 48 has an offensive power rating of 55.9, which ranks it 18th out of 1,799 teams worldwide. Team 48 will complete in one more regional competition, in Raleigh, N.C., this weekend.
