Burnside boxers win in Brookpark

BROOKPARK

Burnside Boxing fighters Josh Rosenberger, Wesley Triplett and Shawn Edge won bouts on opening weekend of the Cleveland Golden Gloves regional at Brookpark Arena.

Rosenberger (152 novice) knocked out William Green of Cleveland in the first round with a right hand punch in his only fight of the weekend.

Rosenberger will return to compete in the semifinals on Saturday.

Triplett, who won a super heavyweight bout in the open class, qualified for the Golden Gloves regional championships on April 16.

Edge went 2-0 in the novice class’ super heavyweight division and also advanced to the championships on the 16th.

Helping trainer Keith Burnside are Rusty Rosenberger, Dan Green and Walter Perez.
