The Mahoning County One-Stop, 149 Boardman-Canfield Road, will host a recruiting event for state-tested nurses aides from 9 a.m. to noon Friday.

Park Vista of Youngstown, a nonprofit assisted living, rehabilitation and skilled-care center, will be at the One-Stop interviewing attendees for full- and part-time employment.

Wages start at $9.50 an hour. Benefits include health care, tuition reimbursement and meal allowances.

Park Vista offers a training course for those who are interested in becoming STNAs but have not completed the testing.

Network will host leadership lecture

The Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network hosts a lecture on management leadership that will focus on creating a team-oriented workplace.

The lecture is scheduled from 8 to 11 a.m. April 21 at The Gateway Event & Conference Center, 5441 Global Gateway, North Canton.

It will be simulcast at the Youngstown Business Incubator, 241 W. Federal St. Consultant Richard Ruhe, who has worked with such companies as The Gap, Chick-Fil-A, Domino’s Pizza, Motorola and Williams-Sonoma, will speak at the event.

Attendance is free, but registration is required.

Workshop will aid in product exports

The Northeast Ohio International Trade Assistance Center hosts a workshop for manufacturers interested in exporting their products to Canada and Mexico.

The workshop will run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 27 at the Radisson Hotel, 35000 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.

For those who are unable to attend, the center will host a second workshop from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 28 at The University Center at Kent State University-Stark, 6000 Frank Ave. NW, North Canton.

The one-day workshop will provide manufacturers with in-depth information about the North American Free Trade Agreement and border compliance.

Registration is required. For those who register before April 11, the cost is $125. After April 11, the cost is $150.

Coalition releases Marcellus Quarterly

The Marcellus Shale Coalition has released the first edition of Marcellus Quarterly, a magazine that provides commentary and information about the natural-gas industry, trends and practices within the Marcellus Shale region.

The Marcellus Shale is a natural-gas formation that stretches beneath parts of Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, West Virginia and Virginia.
