Local media and Easter Seals children to model fashions at spring luncheon

Angels of Easter Seals has chosen “Butterflies and Blossoms” as the theme for its 34th annual spring luncheon and style show to be presented May 5 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center, 7440 South Ave.

The festivities will get under way with a social at 10 a.m. and will be followed by a luncheon at 11:15.

After the luncheon, personnel from the local media and Easter Seals children will serve as models as they walk the runway wearing the latest spring and summer fashions.

Models representing the media follow:

The Vindicator: Todd Franko, Barbara Shaffer and Nena Perkins.

WFMJ: Bob Black, Lauren Lindvig, Michelle Nicks, Madonna Chism Pinkard and Scott Schneider.

WKBN: Amy Radinovic, Dee Crawford, Teresa Weakley and Jeff Levkulich.

WYTV: Kristi Branam, Julie Loeper, Damon Maloney and Stan Boney.

HOT 101: A.C. McCullough and Kelly Stevens.

For the 17th consecutive year, Bianca Severino, a former Easter Seals child representative, will walk the runway with Stan Boney, and Judy Conti will be the fashion coordinator and narrator.

The style show will feature a runway collection provided by Nanette Lepore, a Youngstown native, who has donated fashions for the show for the past eight years. Some of her creations will be auctioned following the show. Hairstyles and makeup will be by Allure Salon of Canfield.

Rosemarie Smith, local philanthropist, will be the guest of honor.

Raffle prizes will include $1,000, mall gift certificates, a diamond ring, gift baskets, savings bonds and gift certificates. Tickets for the raffle can be purchased from any Angel or by calling the Easter Seals Center at 330-599-5500.

An Auction in a Bag event will feature food, wine and gift baskets; jewelry; a 2011 American Girl Doll, Kanani; and a 50-50 drawing.

Tickets for the luncheon and fashion show are $35 per person and $45 for a patron. For an invitation call the center at the above number. Proceeds benefit Easter Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.
