The Women’s Committee for Children’s Concerts, an affiliate of the Youngstown Symphony, is sponsoring an art contest in conjunction with the Thursday Young People’s Concert. This year’s theme is World Music Jam. For the 71st annual concert/contest, local artists judged the first- through eighth-grade entries. The art will be on display in the DeYor Center for Performing Arts from Monday through April 11. The art contest winners:

Primary Grades

Annabelle Himes, third grade, Willow Creek Learning Center, first place.

Christopher Altier, first grade, Willow Creek, second place.

Grades four, five, six
