Following are some facts about the society:

A String of Pearls was formed seven years ago.

The chapter has 35 to 45 members.

A String of Pearls has been hosting the International Luncheon for the past seven years. Women from all over Northeast Ohio and Western Pa. attend, and last year there were more than 300.

The women chose Youngstown as the luncheon location because they are proud of their hometown and want others to see the beauty.

The City of Youngstown provides marketing help as well as graphic design and printing of the program.

The Red Hat Society motto is “Enjoy life. Fun after 50.”
