Career center students earn art awards

Three Mahoning County Career and Technical Center students earned honors from the Graphic Arts Council of Cleveland and Benny Awards during the council’s annual awards celebration.

Britney Bodendorfer, a senior from Austintown, was named a 2011 Scholarship Recipient and received the Outstanding Student Award from the GAC, along with Isabella Kendeigh.

Bodendorfer placed first in the printing competition and received honorable mention in the graphic design and printing competitions.

Haley Hunter of Austintown captured second place in the graphic design and printing competitions and Madison McLemore of Poland placed second in the graphic design competition.
