Program could help Ohio public schools save on electric bills

Public schools looking to save on their electric bills have the option of participating in the Power 4 Schools Electric Program.

The program, approved by the Ohio School Boards Association, the Ohio Association of School Business Officials, the Buckeye Association of School Administrators and the Ohio Schools Council, is offered by FirstEnergy Solutions.

It is available to public school districts in the Ohio Edison, Toledo Edison and Duke Energy Ohio service areas.

Participating schools could save up to $80 million on electric through 2019.
