YOUNGSTOWN

Public Employees Retirees Inc., Mahoning Chapter, will meet at noon Tuesday at the ITAM club on Meridian Road, Youngstown.

Flu shots will be given before the meeting to any member who wants one and presents a Medicare card or insurance card.

Incorrect information was provided in an announcement Sept. 19 that the shots would be free.

Humility of Mary Health Partners is one of four Catholic Health Partners’ hospitals/health systems recognized by the Ohio Hospital Association’s 2010 Ohio Hospital Safety Campaign for achieving very low associate injury rates during 2009.

HMHP achieved an injury rate of .42 and received a Top 20 percent Hospital Safety Award for placing in the top 20 percent of participating hospitals.

HMHP has many programs to promote workplace safety, including an employee-ergonomics program, injury prevention training, early transition to modified return to work, and post- accident drug-testing program management.

Community Home Medical, a local durable-medical-supply company, is responsible for bringing this post-mastectomy company back to the area.

The boutique is in the same building it occupied five years ago, 10 E. Liberty St. The same certified fitters and professional post- mastectomy consultants, with 20 years of experience, are employed there.

The main focus of the boutique is to feature the latest and most innovative mastectomy products for patients in Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania after mastectomy, lumpectomy and reconstructive surgeries. Products include mastectomy bras, breast prostheses and partial prostheses.

A new addition will be a full line of durable medical equipment.

Columbiana County One Stop, 7860 Lincoln Place, will be hosting a recruiting event for Salem Community Hospital from 9 a.m. to noon Monday.

The hospital is hiring patient-care associates, unit secretaries and food/nutrition aides. All positions are part-time with varying shifts.

Friendly’s in Poland will again offer Trick-or-Treat coupons Oct. 4-31 for a donation to Easter Seals Camp Friendly’s.

For each $1 donation, you receive coupons for free kids cones and $5 off a $25 purchase at Friendly’s. Coupons are redeemable Nov. 1 through Dec. 31.

The money raised will benefit Easter Seals Camp Friendly’s program.
