Bethel Lutheran Church helps 13 with education costs

On July 19, students who are members of Bethel Lutheran Church on Crestview Drive, Boardman, received more than $23,000 in educational assistance at the Sunday service. The students received scholarships from the Church’s Endowment Fund and from the Mickey Schuster Scholarship Fund.

Kristine Beauchamp, YSU, fashion merchandising.

Jared Buker, YSU, journalism.

Ann Dechellis, Capital University, nursing.

Margaret Dulin, YSU, medical assisting technology.

Laura Hungerford, YSU, graphic design.

Amanda Kovach, YSU, early childhood education.

Kristen Midgley, Wittenberg University, biology/pre-med.

Peter Rassega, YSU, business economics.

Kelby Thoreson, YSU, engineering.

Jaclyn Weaver, YSU, education.

Elizabeth Wiesner, University of Cincinnati, fashion design.

The congregation also awarded full tuition assistance to Jon Weaver, son of Frank and Marilyn Weaver of North Lima, who recently graduated from Trinity Lutheran Seminary. The Rev. Bret Rizzo is the church pastor.
