Police: Woman abducted, raped, left in park

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police in Philadelphia are investigating the abduction and rape of a woman who was found partially clothed and bound inside the city’s massive Fairmount Park.

Lt. Frank Palumbo says the 28-year-old woman was found Tuesday evening by a group of women walking along a road in the 4,000-acre park. The woman told police she’d been abducted about 20 hours earlier and raped before her attackers dumped her in the park.

Police say the woman reported being abducted and blindfolded by at least two men before being taken to an unknown location where she was kept for much of the ordeal.

KYW-TV reported the woman was hospitalized in stable condition.
