THURSDAY

St. Michael Orthodox Church, 125 Steel St., Youngstown, will serve a homemade Chinese lunch and supper from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Thursday. This week’s menu will feature a soy sauce pork chop and Shanghai chicken. The cost of the meal is $5. No reservations are necessary.

FRIDAY

Bloomfield-Mespo Music Department will host a spaghetti dinner and bake sale from 4 to 7 p.m. at the cafeteria of Bloomfield High School, 2077 Park Road W., N. Bloomfield. Meals are $5 for adults and students, $4 for those 65 and over, and free for children 2 and under. Carryouts are $5.

Canfield Lions will sponsor a fish dinner from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Meals include baked or fried haddock, coleslaw, roll, beverage and dessert, with a choice of one side, french fries, macaroni and cheese, haluski, green beans or pirogi. The cost is $10. Takeouts available.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Advance sales only. Lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles will sell regular, potato and spinach pizza from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the school annex, 381 Robbins Ave. Advance orders are being accepted at 330-652-2811 until noon Thursday. Walk-ins are welcome from 2 to 4 p.m. Pickups from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown. will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 after 6 p.m. Thursday or from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi Friday. The cost is $5 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance.

Tod Avenue United Methodist Church, 2250 Tod Ave., Warren, will hold an all-you-can-eat fish dinner from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. (or until sold out). The cost is $9 for adults, $3 for children. The menu will include deep fried ocean perch, home-fried potatoes, coleslaw, homemade desserts and beverage. Meatloaf will also be available.

SATURDAY

Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $6.50 for adults and $3 for children. Carryouts will be available. Tickets will be sold at the door. For more information call 330-758-5745.

SUNDAY

St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will sell dinners of roasted lamb for $11 per pound, a half roasted chicken for $9, and ribs for $9 a half slab or $18 for a whole slab. Sts. Peter and Paul Croatian Roman Catholic Church will have a fundraising 100th anniversary spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the social hall, 421 Covington St., Youngstown. Dinners are $6 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under.

Boardman High School Band and Orchestra is conducting an annual citrus sale through Nov. 10 with pickup scheduled for Dec. 11 at the school’s fine arts and performing door. TAKING ORDERS

American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for carryout stuffed cabbage. The cost is $12 a dozen rolls. Patrons can provide containers or purchase containers from the club for $1.25. Advance orders will be accepted until Saturday at 330-792-5124, and pickup will be Oct. 14, 15 and 16 at the club.

Medical Equipment Recycling Program is taking orders at 724-983-8737 for pies, cookie dough and specialty baked goods until Oct. 25. A variety of pies and packages of cookie dough are available for $12 each. The prices for a variety of baked goods, including cheesecake and pumpkin rolls, range from $10 to $15. The frozen pies will be delivered Nov. 17 and must be picked up at the MERP office at UPMC Horizon’s Shenango Valley campus in Farrell, Pa.

Tod Avenue United Methodist Church, 155 Tod Ave., Warren, is taking orders for homemade vegetable beef soup for $6 a quart. Orders can be called to 330-847-0672 or 330-372-2407. Pickup will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 22 or from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. after the church service on Oct. 24.

Bessemer Presbyterian Church, 29 N. Main St., Bessemer, Pa., will host a braised steak dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 9. Robbins United Methodist Church, 100 High St., Washingtonville, will have homemade soup to go the first Wednesday of each month beginning Oct. 6. The cost is $6 per quart (wedding soup and chili are $6.50). A different soup will be available each month.

Sts. Mary and Joseph Church, 131 W. Quarry St., Newton Falls, will have a Polish dinner prepared by the Rev. Matthew Mankowski and parishioners from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 10 at the social hall, 120 Maple Drive. The menu will include homemade cabbage rolls, kielbasa and sauerkraut, pirogi, salad, dessert and beverages. Tickets are $8.50 for adults and $5 for children 5 to 12 when purchased in advance. At the door they are $9 and $5.50. Children under 5 eat free.
