NE Ohio adoption series set to begin in mid-October
Staff report

Northeast Ohio Adoption Services invites area singles or couples to free pre-placement education classes to cover a range of adoption and foster-care topics at its offices at 5000 E. Market St., Suite 26.
The adoption series will start at 6 p.m. Oct. 15 and continue Oct. 16-17. The classes resume for the weekend of Nov. 6 and 7.
Participants can learn more about the needs of children in care of the child-welfare system and learn about the possibilities of becoming an adoptive or foster parent of a school-age child, teen or sibling group.
In Ohio, 6,000 children, mostly school-age, are now waiting for a permanent, loving family.
Adults older than 21 are eligible to adopt through NOAS. Adoptive parents may live in a home, mobile home, apartment or condo, and they may either own or rent.
Adoptive parents will need a stable income.
Reservations are required for the pre-placement education classes. Call John Hostetler at 330-856-5582, ext. 123, for details by Oct. 7. Space is limited, so reservations should be made as early as possible.
Those interested can request to get an information packet by mail and reserve a place.
