Boardman

A four-car crash about 3 p.m. Sunday sent two people to the hospital.

Boardman police said four vehicles were involved in an accident on South Avenue in front of Giant Eagle. One of the cars involved reportedly flipped over.

No names or conditions were available Sunday night, and police said a report wouldn’t be ready until today.

Warren house fire

Warren

A home on Union Street Southwest was damaged in a weekend blaze.

Fire broke out about 5:30 p.m. Saturday at 1406 Union St. from what Warren firefighters said was an overloaded power strip in a side room of the home.

Fire personnel said no one was in the house at the time of the blaze, but two firefighters sustained minor injuries.

Damage was estimated at $65,000.

Pleasant Valley Church, 2055 Pleasant Valley Road, is hosting “The Resource Revolution,” a free seminar on financial freedom and cultivating a lifestyle of generosity, this weekend.

Special guest James Ryle, founder and president of TruthWorks Ministries, will lead the seminar. He has traveled as a conference speaker and is one of the founding board members of Promise Keepers.

Old, expired drugs

Local law-enforcement officers from the N.E. Ohio Law Enforcement Task Force will collect and destroy prescription drugs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Trumbull County Waste Management facility, 5138 Enterprise Drive.

Unused or expired drugs in original containers will be accepted. Officers will count the medications and destroy them.

Medications accepted include pills, capsules, patches, gels, powders, ointments, syrups, vitamins, inhalers and pet medications. Drugs should be in original containers or in sealed plastic bags.

Items not accepted include needles, syringes, lancets, thermometers, IV bags, aerosol cans, hydrogen peroxide, empty containers and illegal drugs.

Kids’ Dental Express

Dental Express for Kids will have an open house Saturday.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the new Dental Express location, 6285 Youngstown-Warren Road. This is the 10th location in the Mahoning Valley.

Pediatric specialist Dr. Michael Griesmer will be the primary dentist. In addition to being a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and American Dental Association, he also is a member of Head Start Boardman and the Mahoning County Dental Task Force.

Dental Express accepts most private insurances, as well as Caresource, Medicaid and Unison.
