SENIOR SIDELIGHTS

Austintown Local Schools will sponsor an Austintown Senior Citizens dinner at 4 p.m. Oct. 12 at Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive, Austintown. The cost is $2 at the door. Reservations are required by Oct. 8 by calling 330-797-3900, ext. 1501.

Howland SCOPE Center, 8273 High St. SE, Warren, will present a program, “What You Need to Know Before You Preplan a Funeral,” by Melissa White at 11 a.m. Oct. 5. There will be a light lunch. The center will also sponsor a dinner and dance Oct. 13. The dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. and music for dancing will be played by the Al Hreno Band from 7 to 9 p.m. The cost is $10 in advance or $12 at the door and reservations are required.
