Commercial Intertech retirees will meet at noon Tuesday at St. Mark’s Fellowship Hall, 3560 Logan Way. Lou Pizzuto will preside, and Gloria Wielbruda and Roberta Shick will give reports. Erie-Mahoning Valley Railroad Association will meet at noon Tuesday at Davidson’s Restaurant, 3636 Canfield Road, Cornersburg. Reports will be given, and birthdays will be recognized. All railroad retirees and their spouses are welcome.
Girard Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the center, 16 N. State St. An election will determine the senior of the year. A pulled beef luncheon will be served. The cost is $4. Make reservations by calling 330-545-9629. Members are reminded to take canned goods for the Emmanuel Center.
GM Salaried Retirees will have a dinner meeting Oct. 13 at Vernon’s, state Route 422, Niles. The 5:30 p.m. social will be followed by a buffet dinner at 6:30. The cost is $17.50. Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Friday at the conference room of Lowellville City Hall. Reservations and cancellations are to be made with Janet Davanzo, 330-793-3176. Members are asked to donate an item for a gift basket for a shut-in member. Lunch will be provided by Phyllis Nolfi. October birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged. Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, Ruby Farkas will give the devotions, and there will be a pizza party at noon. No affiliation with the church is required for participation. Retired Registered Nurses will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Western Reserve Methodist Church, 5480 Canfield Road, Canfield. Kay Lavelle will speak about Senior Watch. After the meeting, refreshments will be served. All area retired nurses are welcome.
St. Christine Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the parish center. President Ruth Infante will preside, and Mary Jo Theis and Carol McClain will give reports. Officers will serve on the luncheon committee with Laura Dulay, vice president and chairwoman.
Sts. Peter and Paul Seniors will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Ukrainian Center with Ann Smith presiding. Pat Hoffman and Laura Dulay will give reports, and a catered lunch will be served. There will be attendance prizes, a 50-50 raffle, cards and bingo games.
