Cox anniversary celebrated with dinner, dessert

CANFIELD

The family of Mr. and Mrs. George Cox of Canfield served as hosts for two events that took place on Sept. 19 to honor the couple as they celebrated the 50th anniversary of their Sept. 17, 1960, wedding in Austintown.

Their family includes George and Lisa Cox of Columbiana, Kelley and Magnus Svensson of Canfield, and Kathy and Rob Bodnar of Austintown, and seven grandchildren.

The first event was a family dinner at the Springfield Grille in Boardman, and the second was a family dessert party afterward at the Bodnar home in Austintown.

Mrs. Cox, a homemaker, is a 50-year member of a card club with classmates.

Mr. Cox, known as Ted, retired in 1999 from Packard Electric in Warren, where he was employed in service.

The Coxes are members of Four Mile Run Christian Church.
