THE VILLAGES, FLA..

Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Roman of The Villages celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary recently by renewing their marriage vows at The Springs of Lady Lake in Lady Lake, Fla.

The former Alice Madden and Mr. Roman were married Aug. 13, 1949, in Youngstown, where they attended St. Christine Church. They moved to Florida in 2007.

They are parents of Alice McDarby of Findlay, and John Roman of Lady Lake. They have a grandson, Daniel Cutlip of Columbus.

Mr. Roman served with the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945 and was employed by Tee Nee Trailer in Youngstown prior to retiring. His wife is a homemaker.
