On a perfect fall day, the Junior Women’s League of Canfield held its 41st annual Fall Market on the Green Saturday with more than 125 vendors.

Items included a variety of crafts, fine arts, a farmers market, jewelry, baked goods, clothing and collectibles. The organization also offered a 50/50 raffle throughout the day.

Local organizations such as Canfield Rotary and First Night Canfield were also among the vendors and the Junior Group of Goodwill set up a tent next to the gazebo to sell vintage jewelry.

According to Cari Gulas, president of the Junior Women’s League of Canfield, the Fall Market is the main fundraiser of the year for the organization and it funds three $1,000 scholarships for Canfield seniors who win an essay contest held every April.

The Junior Women’s League of Canfield is a service organization that holds monthly meetings. They perform service projects for the community such as collecting books, collecting money for UNICEF and holding canned food drives for the Rescue Mission and other food banks.

The organization also holds a fundraiser in the spring, which last year benefited the organization Kids Grieve Too. The Fall Market is always held the Saturday of the third weekend in September.
