VFW competitions available to students

VFW District 8 Commander Richard McGrath and District Ladies Auxiliary President Renell Noack are reminding students that Nov. 1 is the deadline for submitting entries for the Voice of Democracy Scholarship Competition and the Patriot’s Pen Essay Competition.

Additional information and application forms can be obtained at the VFW website www.vfw.org and must be turned in at a post or auxiliary. Interested students and teachers can also contact Jim Yost at 330-898-0901, or Frances Martin at 330-547-3327.
