Stabbed for bike
WARREN
A 25-year-old man living in a shelter on Main Avenue Southwest said he was stabbed near the shelter about 4 a.m. Friday by a man trying to steal his bicycle.
The victim said he got locked out of the shelter, so he decided to sleep in some woods behind the shelter. At around 4 a.m., he awoke and saw a man walking away from the shelter with his bicycle.
The victim confronted the thief, which led to a fight and the victim’s being stabbed. The victim recovered his bicycle and went by ambulance to the hospital for treatment of a 3-inch cut, police said. The victim also had swelling around his nose and eyes, police said.
