Aug. 25

Fraudulent charges: A Talsman Drive resident reported fraudulent charges for an $1,800 computer, $2,000 in Avon products and another charge of $2,300 were attempted to his bank credit card. The account company had blocked the charges.

Drug abuse: Police arrested John Kale, 47, 1229 Columbiana-Canfield Road, Columbiana, on charges of drug abuse and paraphernalia for possession of 15 grams of marijuana and two tinfoil pipes with burnt marijuana residue, a pair of forceps with a burned tip, and a pack of rolling papers at Broad Street and Kirk Street.

Aug. 26

Drug abuse: Police arrested Joseph Zimmerman, 19, 3852 New Road, Austintown on charges of drug abuse after finding one gram of suspected marijuana on him.

Aug. 27

Drug paraphernalia: Police arrested Joseph Blasens, 25, 3924 Staatz Drive, Youngstown for possession of drug paraphernalia on W. Main Street after police found a pipe with marijuana residue in it and a straw with possible cocaine residue.

Aug. 28

Warrant: Police arrested Nicholas Holt, 27, 273 Carriage Hill, Apt. 301, on a failure to appear warrant for mayor’s court.

Sept. 9

Criminal mischief: A resident of the 300 block of Carriage Lane reported to police her vehicle had been scratched.

Sept. 10

Drug abuse: Police arrested James Oatney, 21, 1400 Township Road 189, Bloomingdale, on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at Fairway Ford, 366 W. Main St.

Sept. 11

Drug abuse: Police arrested Kyle Travis, 20, 42767 Crestview Road, Leetonia, on charges of drug abuse of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on West Main Street.

Sept. 12

Drug abuse: Police arrested Caleb Brett, 18, 336 Maplecroft Road, Poland on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia at Hood Drive and Indian Lake Blvd.

Drug abuse: Police arrested Matthew Wolford, 26, 1324 State Road 183, Atwater, on charges of drug abuse of marijuana at the Canfield Library, 43 W. Main St.
