Unity Day observance set Oct. 4 in Warren

Someplace Safe, Inc. will celebrate Unity Day at 6 p.m. Oct. 4 in Courthouse Square as a way to remember and respect domestic violence victims and celebrate survivors.

Speaker will be State Rep. Sandra Stabile-Harwood, D-65th of Niles, author of House Bill 19, which made teen-dating-violence education mandatory to all students in Ohio schools from grades 7-12.

Unity Day is celebrated in conjunction with National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, which is October. This year’s theme will be “Love Doesn’t Have To Hurt.”
