What better way to make new North Elementary students and parents feel comfortable than by hosting a tea party.
The school held a Kindergarten Tea Tuesday for students, parents, grandparents and friends. The tea, sponsored by the PTO, has been a school tradition for more than 11 years.
PTO president and Kindergarten Tea Chairwoman Melissa Kellgren said the event is a good way for parents to meet with other parents and build a relationship with the principal. Arizona Sweet Tea, lemonade, cookies and fruit snacks were served as refreshments during the event.
Principal Mike Masucci talked to parents about upcoming activities like the annual walk home from school day and the monthly health walk around the school’s premises.
Poland is, “really pushing for physical fitness,” said Masucci.
He also encouraged parents to get involved with the PTO.
