Badger boys remain unbeaten, JFK girls win

Troy Elsea scored three goals to lead undefeated Badger to a 8-1 victory over Grand Valley on Thursday.
With a halftime lead of 4-1, the Braves (9-0) added four insurance goals. Also scoring were Ben Meardith, Nick Fiest, Allen Willey, Mitchell Givens and Rich Roscoe. Goalkeeper Taylor Matson had only one save.
Scoring the goal for Grand Valley was Nick Benton. Josh Stagl had seven saves.
Hubbard 2, Beaver Local 1
HUBBARD
Nick Pedaline and Tim Kemner had the goals for Hubbard (7-1-1, 2-1 AAC White). Nick Curl assisted on Kemner’s goal, a tally which snapped a 1-1 tie midway through the second half. Hubbard goalie Tyler Pagley had six saves.
Unbeaten and unscored upon Canfield (7-0) plays at Hubbard on Saturday. The Eagles have given up just seven goals this season.
Howland 2, Poland 0
HOWLAND
Brian Papalas and Anthony Russo each connected on one of the Tigers’ 11 shots on goal, while goalkeeper Robert Daniels saved all five shots against him.
Alex Mangi saved nine shots for the Eagles.

Warren JFK 8, Springfield 1
WARREN
Kellie Guarnieri led the way for the Eagles with three goals and an assist in the first half of a big game for the school.
Erin McBride, Lauren Rodomsky, Amy Scarnecchia, Caitlyn Rodomsky and Mora Lucero each had a goal for the Eagles (7-2). Goalkeeper Kelsey Case had three saves.
Springfield’s Hailey Sullivan scored the only goal of the night for the Tigers (4-5-1) in the second half, and goalie Kayla Weaver had 11 saves.
Bristol 3, Badger 1
BRISTOLVILLE
Audrey Merlino, Katlyn Rasmussen and Lindsey Elva had one goal apiece for the Panthers.
Rasmussen also had two assists, while goalie Allison Jones had nine saves for Bristol (5-4-1).
Jennilyn Krumpe had the lone goal for Badger, whose goalie, Megan Hunkus had 18 stops.
Earlier this season, Bristol beat Badger, 4-1.
Conneaut 2, Yo. Christian 0
CONNEAUT
Brooke Bennet and Jessica Lynch scored for Conneaut. Cami Chickonoski had 18 saves for the Eagles.
