Alleged FBI killer’s husband facing 20 years-plus

PITTSBURGH (AP) — A Pittsburgh-area man whose wife is awaiting trial on charges she fatally shot an FBI agent faces at least 20 years in prison on drug charges that brought the agent to their home that day.

Forty-one-year-old Robert Korbe, of Indiana Township, pleaded guilty in May to cocaine trafficking. He’ll be sentenced Friday for that crime and others, including illegally possessing four guns — one of which his wife, Christina, used to kill FBI agent Samuel Hicks in November 2008.

She acknowledges the shooting, but has claimed she thought the agent was an intruder.

Robert Korbe faces the minimum 20-year sentence as an armed career criminal. But federal prosecutors say that’s not enough to deter Korbe who rates a longer sentence based on his “despicable” behavior, including allegedly laughing at Hicks’ shooting.
