Mancini to network with locals

Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini will be the special guest at an East Meets West-Downtown business mixer and networking event planned for 5:30 p.m. Oct. 4 at the PNC Bank Building, fourth floor, 16 Wick Ave. Mancini, a world-champion boxer turned filmmaker, will share his insights as an entrepreneur and plans for a film project.

The event will feature Mancini’s signature wine in a tasting with catering by M.L. Miles. Tickets are $5. They are available by calling 330-746-1109 or online at www.linmarstrategies.com.

The event also includes a raffle to benefit a local or regional charity organization. East Palestine China Factory will provide a Halloween-themed place setting of fine-bone china.

East Meets West-Downtown was originated by Deb ≥rah Benton in the early 1990s when she recognized areas of need specific to black business owners.

Benton, a local TV personality, is hosting the event in her television studio in the bank building. The studio produces “The Deb ≥rah Show,” which airs at 5:30 a.m. Mondays on Fox 17/62.
