Shooting of police sergeant under investigation

The Toledo police chief says the shooting of a sergeant by another officer at a city station remains under investigation and has declined to call it an accident.
Mike Navarre tells The Blade newspaper for a Tuesday story on its website that one shot was fired.
Navarre says Sgt. Jeffrey Bechtel was shot in the arm Monday afternoon and treated at a local hospital for an injury that was not life-threatening.
The chief did not release the name of the officer suspected of shooting Bechtel but says she was taken to a hospital for a “medical problem.”
Authorities say the two officers worked together and that the shooting happened during a shift change.
