Police find shell casings on Boardman street

Police were called to Brookfield Avenue when a resident reported hearing gunfire late Monday.

The resident told police he heard six gunshots coming from the road in front of his house.

Officers found shell casings spread out over a distance of 89 feet, which implies that whoever fired them did so while the car was moving at a high rate of speed, according to reports.

Nothing in the area appeared to be hit by the bullets, police said.
