Job-scam alleged
columbus
Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray has sued three Northeast Ohioans in a work-from-home scheme. The lawsuit, filed in Summit County Common Pleas Court, charges NSA Technologies and its principals — Mark Jenney of Akron, Victor Bierman of Broadview Heights and Vincent Fisher of Copley — with multiple violations of the state’s Consumer Sales Practices Act. According to the suit, NSA Technologies advertised “work at home” programs, self-employment guides and job-placement services through online ads. Cordray accuses the operation of taking money from Ohioans in payment and then not providing the services that were purchased.
The attorney general encourages consumers who feel that they have fallen victim to a job scam to contact his office at 800-282-0515 or visit www.SpeakOutOhio.gov.
