Fire department plans annual auction

NEW WILMNGTON

New Wilmington Volunteer Fire Department announces that its 2010 auction will take place Saturday at a new location, the New Wilmington Livestock Auction on Route 158, north of the borough.

The flea market runs from 9 a.m to 3 p.m., and the auction, from 5-11 p.m. Both will take place in the cover-all building in the north end with elevated stands and an unobstructed view to the auction block.

Parking is close, all around the building, eliminating long walks. Pickup of sold goods is on the south side, away from traffic lanes. All proceeds help support and maintain the equipment and personnel of the fire department.
