SDLqHouse” (8 p.m., Fox): Should you really be having sex with the boss? As Season 7 of “House” opens, House and Cuddy (Hugh Laurie, Lisa Edelstein) explore their feelings for each other in the wake of that surprising smooch.
“Dancing With the Stars” (8 p.m., ABC): For the record, we hope Florence Henderson kicks some major booty on Season 11 of “Dancing With the Stars.” How can you not root for the lovely Mrs. Brady?
“Lone Star” (9 p.m., Fox): Now that Sawyer has left the island, TV is in need of another intriguing con man. Meet Bob Allen (James Wolk), a Texas-based scam artist who is juggling two women (Adrianne Palicki, Eloise Mumford) and two lives. Trouble is, he loves them both and desperately wants to find a way to go straight without divulging his secrets. We have no idea if he can pull it off — or if this intricately structured soap can avoid imploding under the weight of its own ambition. We’re convinced, though, that the sexy, steamy “Lone Star” is the best pilot produced by the broadcast networks this fall. Jon Voight and David Keith also star.
“The Event” (9 p.m., NBC): There’s a shocking, life-threatening conspiracy at the heart of “The Event,” but don’t ask us to explain. Just watch the turbo-charged pilot episode and keep an oxygen tank nearby.
“Hawaii Five-O” (10 p.m., CBS): Say “aloha” to a revamped “Hawaii Five-0.” The slicker, sexier update stars Alex O’Loughlin as the island’s Big Kahuna, Steve McGarrett, but don’t worry: That rockin’ theme song is still intact.
