North Side farmer's market seasons extended till October

YOUNGSTOWN

Final days for two Youngstown Farmers’ Markets have been extended. Both markets were supposed to wrap up the season at the end of September, but Market Manager Jim Converse said growers still have goods to sell.

The North Side market at First Unitarian Universalist Church at 1105 Elm St. will be open through Oct. 9, and the downtown location at Federal Plaza and Market Street will be open through Oct. 5.

The Elm Street location will be open from 9 a.m. to noon through its final Saturday.

The downtown market will be open on Tuesdays from noon to 3 p.m. through its final day. Among available items are brown eggs, locally made goat cheese and pumpkins.
