Celebration marks golden year for Mr., Mrs. Kuzma

Invitations were extended for a celebration that honored Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Kuzma of Columbiana on Sept. 18 for their 50th wedding anniversary.

The Kuzmas’ five children and their spouses hosted the party. They are Mary Kay Kuzma and Ron Short of Columbus; Lori Kuzma and Scott O’Neil of Waltham, Mass.; Lynn Kuzma and Lee Slater of Portland, Maine; Mark and Anna Kuzma of Canfield; and Matt and Deborah Kuzma of Santa Monica, Calif. Included in the family are three grandchildren, Rowan, Ava and Michael.

On Sept. 17, 1960, Mr. Kuzma and the former Barbara Tierney exchanged wedding vows in a military chapel at Fort Knox, Ky.

Mr. Kuzma retired in 2001 after working as a math teacher and coach at Campbell City Schools and Cardinal Mooney High School. He served in the U.S. Army, where he achieved the rank of second lieutenant.

Mrs. Kuzma retired from Jackson Milton school district, where she had worked as a teacher and counselor.
