60th milestone prompts party for the Durinas


YOUNGSTOWN

Michael and Dorothy Durina of Youngstown will mark their 60th anniversary Saturday with a reception by invitation at St. Mark Church.

The Durinas have eight children: Michele (Kem) Jarvis of Vienna; Michael (Sandi) Durina) of Poland; Dorothy Revella of Youngstown; Patrick (Carla) Durina and Kelli (Gus) Economos, all of Hubbard; Sean (Patti) Durina of Austintown; Kevin Durina of Boardman; and Katie (Ted) Alexander of Canfield.

In the Durina family are 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Durina was employed by Youngstown State University as a clerical specialist in the Registrar’s Office before retiring in 1996. She is a member of St. Edward Church, the YSU Women’s Club, the 55-Plus Club of Liberty and the Ursuline Boosters.

Mr. Durina retired in 1993 from Choffin Career Center, where he was a teacher in cement trades. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1945.

On Sept. 23, 1950, Mr. Durina and the former Dorothy Ferrell were married at St. Paul Cathedral in Pittsburgh.
