YSU LIVE | Pregame

A few notes to pass on about today's YSU-Central Connecticut State game, which kicks off in about five minutes.

  • DT Andrew Johnson practiced sparingly this week and will be a game time decision because of an ankle injury he suffered against Butler.

  • WR Pat White is in for WT Dionte Snow this week on the dress list. He will be a backup wide receiver. White is a Warren Harding High graduate who came on strong in training camp before injuring his ankle. He's raw, but he's 6-foot-6 with good athleticism and a lot of upside.

  • This is the first meeting between the two teams in football, but the teams were conference rivals from 1994-97 in other sports as members of the Mid-Continent Conference.

  • Central is a partial scholarship FCS school, which means it has about 30 scholarships to spread out for its roster. YSU has 63. The Penguins should win by a couple touchdowns today.

  • It's 73 degrees with clear skies right now in Youngstown. You can listen to the game on the radio at 570-AM WKBN or watch it on tape delay tonight at myYTV at 10 p.m.
